Ongoing coaching conversations, the dance of insight, dialogues revolving around the language topics, mechanical practice and working towards goals, coaching models and tools. ICF Competencies 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

CONNECTING THE

BRAIN

The coach is the omnipresent facilitator for the coachee to make continuous brain associations and connections leading to long term memory and hardwiring. ICF competencies 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

Extrinsically to incorporate cultural aspects and differences. ICF competencies 3, 4.

The 5 C ́s comprise the five core parts of the Language Coaching process. A Language Coach MUST meet ethical guidelines and professional standards. The ICF has standards of ethical conduct as a coach, not only regarding professional conduct at large but importantly professional conduct with clients and this naturally includes confidentiality clauses and privacy; conflicts of interest and general rules regarding misleading advice or information, setting boundaries, non-exploitation etc. All Language Coaches should adhere to and follow the ethical standards and code of conduct of the ICF as well as the core competencies.
