The Tool:

Accent Lesson Notes (ALN) System - Cloud based language learning, teaching and management analytics.
The Method:
*Communicative approach: The ALN is most suited to the communicative approach of teaching a language. This approach focuses on the student being able to use the language.
* Input / output balance: Teachers ensure that what the student is able to produce (output) is in proportion to what has been learned (input). Accumulating a massive amount of vocabulary which cannot be used is useless.
* Learn the language in context: Reproducing language in the same context from which it came increases the student’s chances of remembering what they have learnt. During revision the student is encouraged to produce example sentences linked to the conversation tags.
* Active vocabulary building: To become fluent at speaking the ALN captures the vocabulary thestudent needs front of mind.
* Learning with the ears: Instead of relying on learning English in the written form, Accent students practice listening and repeating with rhythm and beat, training the ears to be able to listen better.

Just speak. The teacher will input anything of language learning relevance into the ALN.
Every lesson, anything related to the language learning experience is input by the teacher, then automatically color coded and categorized into vocabulary, pronunciation, key phrases, incorrect / corrected phrases in the ALN system.
Translations of the vocabulary list are automatically powered by Google Translate.
Charts give you a useful overview of your language learning progress.
Progress level comments are bilingual. Not powered by Google translate.
Upload text, images, audio or video to share with the teacher during the lesson for an enhanced language learning experience.
Review your ALN on any device, anywhere, anytime.
